Helpful Reminders for Going Back to School Safely
What Days Do I Go to School?
If your last name starts with A-L, you go to the school building Mondays and Tuesdays. If your last name begins with M-Z, you go to the school Wednesdays and Thursdays. All students learn at home the other three days of the week. Bright Beginnings (PreK) students will go to school 4 days a week, Monday-Thursday, regardless of last name.
Start the Day Feeling Great
Use the WJCC Schools Symptom Checker each day. Not feeling well? Stay home. If your child tests positive for COVID-19, please notify the school immediately.
Get on the Bus
Bus routes are available on the school division’s website. Transportation questions? Call 757-565-0808.
Bring Your Laptop or Tablet
Bring your fully charged tablet or laptop provided by WJCC Schools every day along with your school supplies.
Wash Your Hands
Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds using soap and warm water. Proper handwashing reduces the spread of germs.
Wear Your Mask
You must wear a face covering on the bus and during the school day. Practice using one at home.
Watch Your Step and Stay Apart
Follow directional signs posted throughout the building and be sure to stay 6 feet apart in hallways and classrooms.
Drink Up!
Bring a plastic bottle with your name on it to use during the day. Water fountains are turned off but bottle filling stations are working.
What’s for lunch?
Everyone will eat in their classrooms for now. Breakfast and lunch will be offered free of charge for all students or they can bring their own. Menus are posted on the school division website.
