Graduation events for the Class of 2021 will include a parade down Duke of Gloucester Street and a traditional in-person ceremony to be held outdoors.
Although we can’t announce a venue just yet, we can confirm that commencement exercises will feature the traditional procession of graduates and the awarding of diplomas on stage in front of family and friends. Social distancing and other safety mitigation strategies will be in place. Per state restrictions, the number of attendees and guests will be capped based on the size of the venue.
WJCC Schools is also partnering with The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and the City of Williamsburg for a senior parade down Duke of Gloucester Street. Students are encouraged to decorate their cars and dress in their caps and gowns for a once-in-a-lifetime drive through Colonial Williamsburg. The parades will stream live on the WJCC Schools Facebook page.
We know families need to make plans, so we are sharing the planned graduation dates and times as early as possible. Slight schedule adjustments may be needed for the outdoor ceremonies based on the venue, but we will try our best to stick to this schedule. We will communicate any updates directly with families when the location is confirmed.

Inclement Weather Plans
We hope the sun will shine as brightly as our seniors on graduation day. If that doesn’t happen, graduation ceremonies will move indoors at each high school with a smaller number of guests.
