Lafayette sophomores, Jolin Daughety and Rylee Vinson, won Honorable Mention in NPR’s inaugural Student Podcast Challenge. Their podcast, “Why School is Harder” examined how current high school students feel more pressure to excel compared to older generations. The students conducted interviews and research to blend with their own experiences as high school student-athletes. The sophomores completed the podcast challenge as part of the project based learning innovation course, Honors English 10 and Principles of Business and Marketing, led by Mrs. Meagan Bibbins and Mrs. Valerie Smith with assistance from Media Specialists Monica Schauffler and Amy Wallisch, and ITRT Erin Pratt. NPR had over 6,000 podcasts submitted nationwide. Hear the podcast now: https://soundcloud.com/user-745736903/why-school-is-harder/s-fSswX
