To assist young women attending high school in the Williamsburg area to obtain a higher education
so that they can take up the mantle as our future leaders, The Woman’s Club of WilliamsburgGFWC will award scholarships to female seniors that are graduating in June 2022 from Lafayette
High School, Warhill High School, Jamestown High School or Bruton High School and that are
accepted for attendance at an accredited four-year university or college. Awards will be based on
high academic standing, demonstrated leadership ability, extracurricular activities, and the
submitted recommendations and essay.
The Woman’s Club of Williamsburg-GFWC will award TWO Betty Jo Parker Memorial
Scholarships valued at $2,500 each. The Betty Jo Parker Scholarship is funded by McIvor L.
Parker, Jr. in honor of his late wife Betty Jo, a long-time member of the Woman’s Club of
The Club will also award up to TWO General Scholarships valued at $1,500 each.
There is a single application process for all scholarships; the Woman’s Club of WilliamsburgGFWC will determine the value of the scholarship awarded to each winning applicant.
