On October 4, 2022, the School Board heard a presentation about proposed tiers and start times for the 2023-2024 school year. Currently high schools start first each day, followed by middle and then elementary schools. As was initially discussed in May, a reorganization of tiers is under consideration. The tier times under consideration for 2023-2024 would start with elementary schools opening first, followed by high and then middle schools.

WJCC Schools recognizes the proposed change could pose challenges for some families, and there are many factors to consider. As the division continues to explore this possibility, more details will be shared and an additional opportunity for feedback will be extended.
