Based on the recommendation of the division’s health advisory group and in alignment with the CDC, close contacts may return to school in as few as seven days if certain conditions are met.

Students

A fully-vaccinated student does not need to quarantine.

A student who is not fully vaccinated for COVID-19 may return to in-person learning after the 7th day of quarantine only if:

  • The student is symptom and fever-free, and
  • The student tested negative for COVID on or after the 5th day of quarantine.

Students who do not have a COVID test may return after 10 days if they remain symptom-free.

Employees

A fully vaccinated staff member does not need to quarantine.

A staff member who is not fully vaccinated for COVID-19 may return to work after the 7th day of quarantine only if:

  • The employee is symptom and fever-free, and
  • The employee tested negative for COVID on or after the 5th day of quarantine.

A staff member who does not have a COVID test may return after ten days if they remain symptom-free.
