WJCC Celebrates Four National Merit Semifinalists

Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools is proud to celebrate four outstanding high school students who have been named National Merit Semifinalists!

This prestigious recognition honors high-achieving students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance and earned recognition through the National Merit Scholarship Program.

The 2026 WJCC National Merit Semifinalists are:

• Donovan Wolff — Warhill High School

• Aidan Farah — Jamestown High School

• Ben Gershowitz — Jamestown High School

• Snake White — Lafayette High School

Being named a National Merit Semifinalist is a significant academic accomplishment, recognizing students who demonstrate exceptional academic ability, dedication, and perseverance. More than 1.2 million juniors from approximately 20,000 high schools entered the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2025 PSAT/NMSQT. Semifinalists represent less than 1% of U.S. high school seniors and are the highest-scoring entrants in their respective states, with the number selected in each state proportional to its share of the nation’s graduating seniors.

Congratulations to Donovan, Aidan, Ben, and Snake on this well-deserved recognition! WJCC is proud to celebrate your achievement and all the hard work that helped make this accomplishment possible.
