2016-17 Student Programs

Rising Kindergarten Classes: Jump Start Program

  • 4 Days: August 7 – August 10, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Location: Each Elementary School
  • Point of Contact: Principal at your Elementary School

Kindergarten -“ 8th Grade Classes: Project Based Learning Program

  • 17 Days: June 27 – July 27, 2017 (Monday – Thursday) from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (No school July 3 & 4)
  • Location: K – 5th Grade @ Clara Byrd Baker Elementary School • 6th Grade – 8th Grade @ Berkeley Middle School

High School Classes: Web-Based/Self-Paced Online Instruction via Compass Learning

  • 21 Days: June 27 – August 3, 2017: Online Coursework
  • Location: Lafayette High School and Off-Site
  • Lafayette High School Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (Monday – Thursday)
  • Credit Recovery ($150) or Acceleration-based**

A complete listing of accelerated course offerings will be posted in January.

**Accelerated Course – $300 and Non-WJCC students $550 – In order for an Accelerated Course to be offered, a minimum of 8 students must be enrolled. If the course is not oered, a full refund will be given within 10 business days

  • Registration: Registration will be done through school counselors (June 1 – June 16, 2017).
  • Late Registration: June 19 – June 29, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (at Lafayette High School)

ESL Enrichment Program

  • 17 Days: June 27 – July 27, 2017 (Monday – Thursday) from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (No school July 3 & 4)
  • Location: K– 5th Grade @ Clara Byrd Baker Elementary School • 6th Grade – 8th Grade @ Berkeley Middle School**

**In order for the program to be offered, a minimum of 10 students must be enrolled.

Additional information about ESL Summer Enrichment will be distributed at the end of the school year. Please contact your ESL teacher, if you have any questions.
