High School Summer Program (SOL Academy)

Program Duration

  • Session A—Tuesday, July 11 – Wednesday July 19
  • Session B— Tuesday, July 25 – Wednesday August 3

Summer Program Description

  • Program Goal: to provide students in grades 9 – 12 who passed a class but did not pass or did not take the corresponding end-of-course Standards of Learning (SOL) test.

To achieve the highest level of preparation possible, attendance is mandatory and a requisite for retesting.

Each day will focus on the different reporting categories and elements of the SOL test in a blended learning model that involves working directly with the teacher, independent review, and practice on the computer.

Test Dates/Location

  • Session A students will test on July 20 (the writing SOL will involve two days)
  • Session B students will test on August 3 (non-writing SOL tests only)
  • Retests and/or make-up testing for Session A will be on August 3 (Lafayette High School). Session B retakes will re-test at their home school in August.
