WJCC Schools is proud to recognize three of our most valued business partners for being named to the Virginia School Boards Association 2021 Business Honor Roll. We are excited to take this opportunity to thank these businesses for their partnership, especially during the pandemic. We value their collaboration and are honored to highlight a few of their contributions that support students and schools. Partnerships with these businesses provide opportunities for our community to work together to enrich the educational experiences of our students.

Busch Gardens

Busch Gardens

Busch Gardens hosted the 2020 graduation to allow seniors and their families an in-person experience that was not only ingenious but also quite memorable. During a time when large gatherings were impossible and high school seniors were missing out on traditional activities, it was important to reimage graduation in a way that would be meaningful to families. Because of this partnership, families were able to enjoy a once-in-a lifetime graduation celebration. Collaboration with our friends at Busch Gardens truly demonstrates the profound impact of successful partnerships.

Colonial Williamsburg Foundation (CWF)

Colonial Williamsburg Foundation (CWF)

Duke of Gloucester (DoG) street is a landmark in Williamsburg. Last year, seniors could not come together for graduation celebrations, so WJCC partnered with Colonial Williamsburg Foundation to create an activity that allowed the students to safely gather. Members of the Class of 2020 decorated their cars and took a drive through historical Colonial Williamsburg to kick off their graduation festivities. Through this partnership, a new tradition has started for graduating seniors. Again this year, seniors will participate in the DoG Street Procession and enjoy a drive through the past while listening to celebratory music and messages. We are grateful for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation in its continuous partnership.

Williamsburg Area Restaurant Association (WARA)

Williamsburg Area Restaurant Association (WARA)

WJCC employees are loved by the community. Members of Williamsburg Area Restaurant Association (WARA) have graciously supported WJCC employees since 2019. Through the employee appreciation program, a discount to local restaurants is offered to each employee during their month of hire. This allows WJCC to recognize and thank employees for their dedication to the organization. WARA has supported a number of initiatives to help us show employees how much they are valued. We are honored to work cooperatively with WARA and truly appreciate their partnership.
