P.R.I.D.E.
The Toano Middle School Staff is excited about the implementation of Effective School-Wide Discipline (ESD). ESD is a state initiative that is designed to create common language as we work to support and continue to build a positive learning community. In conjunction with this initiative, we will be emphasizing our new school theme, P.R.I.D.E.:

Respect
Integrity
Determination
Empowerment
Above are the areas of focus that we will be discussing with our students throughout the school year. The purpose of ESD is to acknowledge positive behaviors that most students perform while reiterating expected guidelines for all children.
We look forward to collaborating with you and appreciate any feedback. This program will be fully implemented over a course of two-three years under the guidance of our site-based ESD Team.
