April Students of the Month

Info for the Pathways Project-Rising 9th graders

All rising 9th grade families are invited to attend an information session to learn more about The Pathways Project at Warhill High School.

For the 2017-18 school year, 100 9th grade students will participate in this innovative high school experience, and those students will be able to design their own personalized pathways to success in careers and future education. In the place of a prescribed program of studies, students in The Pathways Project at Warhill High School will work at their own pace to demonstrate mastery of course content – while earning credits toward graduation.

Pathways Project students will be full-time Warhill High School students and will be eligible to participate in WHS athletics and activities.

To learn more, attend any one of the following information sessions, regardless of current school:

  • April 24at 6:00 p.m. – Hornsby Middle School
  • April 25 at 6:00 p.m. – Berkeley Middle School
  • April 27 at 6:00 p.m. – Toano Middle School

8th Grade Event Help Needed!

Greetings PTSA members (and especially you 8th grade parents!):

Toano Middle School runs several special events for each graduating class, and the class of 2017 is no exception! These events are all managed by one wonderful lady – Jen Brungot.  That’s a lot of work for one person…and she could use your help!

One of the biggest events, and almost certainly the one that takes the most work, is the 8th Grade Dance.  This event really requires a great deal of help.  Please consider volunteering your time to help with this delightful event for the graduating class of 2017.

There will be a meeting on Tuesday, April 11th at 6:30pm in the TMS cafeteria – anyone interested in helping out with the 8th grade dance is welcome to attend.  Can’t make the meeting but still want to lend a hand?  Just email Jen Brungot at jennifer.brungot@wjccschools.org and she’ll get in touch with you with more information.

Let’s show our 8th graders some love!  Thank you for all your help!
