Daily Announcements 2/2/16

  • Softball conditioning is cancelled for today but conditioning is scheduled for every Tuesday and Thursday moving forward. Be prepared to go outside.
  • The Functional Academic classes will be selling Cookie-Grams and Brownie-Grams for $1.00 each beginning February 2nd during all 3 lunches and ending next Thursday, February 11th. All cookies and brownies will be delivered on February 12th during AEP. Purchases a sweet treat for that special someone or treat yourself for Valentine’s Day!
  • Starting tomorrow, February 3rd you will be able to build your own delicious sub sandwich at Warhill’s Watering Hole Deli.
  • Girls’ Soccer conditioning will be held on Wednesday, February 2nd after school on the turf fields. Come see Mr. Dick in the Media Center if you have any questions.
  • There will be an interested meeting for all boy soccer players this Friday at 2:30pm in Room 1504. Anyone interested in playing boys soccer should plan on attending this meeting.
  • Auditions for Beauty and The Beast will be held on Wednesday and Thursday after school beginning at 2:30. Please stop by the black box theater to sign up.
  • Here is today’s little known black history fact – Elbert Frank Cox became the first Black to hold a doctorate degree in mathematics which he received from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY in 1925.
  • The Warhill Model UN will be holding a fundraiser on February 11th from 5 till 8pm at Blaze Pizza. You can get a flyer from Ms. Scully or Ms. T. Please come and show your Lion Pride!
  • The 4th annual March of the Lions 5K and Community Expo is set for Saturday, March 12th. For those interested in running the 5K race forms are available in the front office. The 5K is also a fundraising opportunity for all student clubs, sports teams, and classes. Sponsorship forms are also available at the front office.
  • Have you ever felt the deep urge to wear Lederhosen and yodel at the top of your lungs? Maybe not, but if you are interested in discovering German culture come check out the German club starting this semester. There will be an interest meeting this Thursday after school in room 1104 with Herr Brooks. You don’t have to speak German to participate, just have a sense of adventure.
