Daily Announcements 5/31/2017

  • Seniors, senior exam exemption appeals are due by the end of the day today, Wednesday, May 31st.   Check with each of your teachers to learn your exam exemption status. Appeal forms are available in the Attendance Office.
  • ALL SENIORS or Class of 2017: Please turn in all your acceptance letters along with any scholarships or awards received from colleges and other organizations to Ms. Christian in the Counseling Department as soon as possible. The deadline is  June 2nd.
  • If you plan to attend a 4 or 2-year College, please notify Ms. Christian so she can send your final transcript at the end of the year.
  • Prom tickets are now on sale during all three lunches, until June 1st . All fees owed to the school must be paid prior to purchasing. Tickets for just the dance are $40.00. Tickets for prom and after prom are $55.00. There are only 400 tickets-no more than 400 will be sold, so be sure to get yours early!
  • Do you want to go hang out at Great Wolf Lodge Saturday evening for a fraction of what it would normally cost?   Any students not attending prom may purchase an After Prom ticket for $30. After prom is from 11 pm to 2 am on Saturday, June 3rd.  See the prom sales table if you have questions during all three lunches!
  • Tickets for JUST after prom are open to students of all grade levels. You just need a ride to and from Great Wolf Lodge!
  • There will be a meeting for all students attending prom on Thursday, June 1st at 10:25 in the auditorium. Please release students at 10:20. The meeting will last until 10:50.

  • Wilson would like to meet with all current members and students who will be inducted into the Science National Honor Society, Wednesday during AEP in room 2209. Instructions will be given about the induction ceremony on Thursday, May 25th after school from 2:30 until 3:30 in the Auditorium.

The tournament will be on May 18th from 3 until 4 in the Upstairs area of the Media Center. Food and drinks will be served. Come play and check out becoming a member of next year’s Scholastic Bowl team.
  • Tickets for the Rho Kappa field trip to the African American History Museum in D.C. are now on sale to Rho Kappa seniors and juniors on a first come/first serve basis. Tickets are $20.00 and can be purchased from Mrs. Carter in the Media Center. Tickets will be on sale until they are gone. Don’t be left out.

  • Students: If you signed up for the Blood Drive, you MUST have returned your permission slip to be eligible to donate. If you need another copy, see Ms. Holthaus or Mrs. Whyte for a permission slip. Passes will be distributed 4th block today.
  • Key Club and NHS members: Make sure you check the Key Club board to see what time you signed up to volunteer for the blood drive.

    • Students and staff: Still haven’t signed up to donate blood at the blood drive this Friday? Spots are still available! See Ms. Holthaus for a permission slip and a time! Did you know that one unit of blood can save or sustain up to three lives? Your donation makes a real and lifesaving difference! Students aged 16 and older are eligible to donate.

     

    • There will be a Media Center Student Advisory Group meeting tomorrow, Wednesday May 9th, during AEP in the upstairs of the library. All members please plan to attend.
