Daily Announcements 5/4/2017

  • Are you a sophomore or junior interested in science? Apply to Science National Honor Society online at warhilsnhs.weebly.com. The deadline to apply is May 6th.
  • LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, our spring musical, is May 4th and 5th at 7 pm, and May 6th at 2 pm and 7 pm. Tickets are $10 and are on sale all three lunches this week. Come support the theatre department!
  • Attention Rho Kappa Seniors: Bus tickets are now on sale for the May 22nd field trip to the African-American History museum in Washington D. C. Seniors have until May 5th to purchase tickets.  Tickets will then be offered to all Rho Kappa members. Tickets can be purchased from Mrs. Carter in the Media Center.  The tickets are $20.00. Checks are preferred.
  • New Rho Kappa members there will be a meeting after school on Wednesday, May 10th in 2232. We will elect officers for 2017-2018 and discuss the field trip to D. C.  Be sure to attend.
  • It is time for some Kickball! The PTSA will host a co-ed kickball tournament on May 13, 2017.  Get your teams together and register at lunch or in the front office.  The first 16 teams to register will be entered in the tournament.  The cost is $7 per player and there will be prizes for the 1st and 2nd place teams. Pick your players, pick a team color, and pick a name!   If you don’t want to play but want to help, we could use scorekeepers and referees. Any questions see Mrs. Garner in the Main Office.
  • The National Honor Society induction ceremony will be held on Monday, May 9th at 6:00 pm. Letters of acceptance will be delivered this week.  New members in the National Honor Society who would like to be an officer next year should attend the meeting after school today in room 1100. Elections will be held at this meeting.

  • Are you curious about how many buckets Dr. Carroll is going to give Jimmel, Mel, Jimal, Jim, and Ralph Davis? Do you often wonder if Mr. Pickard or Ms. Copeland can be stopped going to the basket? Come see for yourself, tonight, at the 1st annual Warhill Community Clash basketball tournament. Watch as members of the faculty play against Warhill’s Senior class, the WJCC Central Office, the Police department and the Fire Department. The first game starts at 5:30pm come out and be a part of the fun. Papa Johns, Chick Fil a, Duck Donuts and other goodies will be served in concessions. Admission is $5.

Please consider donating and helping to save or sustain up to three lives! See Ms. Mihaly or Ms. Holthaus with questions!

Once there, please wait for a club officer to escort you to the room. We will be holding a Pokémon tournament so all who are interested are welcome to attend.
