College & Career Center Information

The College & Career Center (Room 1126) is staffed by Career Coach, Mrs. Lindley, who is available to help any student with career or college planning.  Students who wish to use resources in the College & Career Center or want to meet with Mrs. Lindley should make an appointment through email or by filling out a Career Coach Request form.  Request forms are located on Mrs. Lindley’s office door (Room 1126).  Career Coach hours vary.

What’s New?

Attention Students!  

  • Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools has partnered with NASA for 25 male students to participate in NASA Goddard’s overnight Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) “Boys Night Out” event on Friday, June 7, 2019. Students will engage in hands-on activities that challenge and promote knowledge and discovery in STEM. More Info
  • Scholarship & College Fair for high school students – April 6, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Virginia Wesleyan University.
  • The WJCC Scholarship Fund is now accepting applications!  Applications due by March 19th.
  • Check out our February-March 2019 Scholarships Paper copies are also available in the counseling office.    Please note that many scholarships require that you complete the FAFSA prior to applying. Check out more about scholarships here.
  • Looking for a fun volunteer opportunity?  Contact Angie Sims at Angie.Sims@jamescitycountyva.gov if you are interested.  Family Fun NightFun opportunity for families! Date: Sat., March 30 Time: Event runs 7-9:30pm; all shifts would be 6:15-9:45pm (includes set-up and breakdown) Location: James City County Recreation Center – 5301 Longhill Road**volunteers are fed pizza and drinks in shifts** Duties include:
      • Arts & Craft area
      • Room D/Lobby area game help
      • Carnival games/prizes
      • Refreshment area
      • Face painters/temporary tattoos (providing supplies/stencils)

  • 2019 Summer Law-Related Program for High School Students, Center for Legal & Court Technology, William & Mary Law School – Classes for students interested in law, government, technology or business.
