Daily Announcements 5/17/2017

  • Prom tickets will be sold from May 22nd to June 1st . All fees owed to the school must be paid prior to purchasing. Tickets for just the dance are $40.00. Tickets for prom and after prom ate $55.00. There are only 400 tickets-no more than 400 will be sold, so be sure to get yours early!
  • Seniors: The Senior Exam Exemption Appeal Window will open on May 24th . Unexcused absences and tardies prior to May 19th must be cleared through attendance. See Mrs. Ludwig in the Attendance Office to verify absence information. Appeal forms will be available in the Principal’s Office on May 24th , and are due no later than May 31st.
  • Interested in joining Scholastic Bowl for next year? Come watch the Faculty vs. Student Tournament on May 18th from 3 to 4 in the Media Center
  • All Old and New National English Honor Society members need to meet today at 2:20 in room 2100 for the final meeting for the year. Attendance is important.

  • Trivia buffs come show off your skills against your teachers at the Scholastic Bowl Tournament: Faculty vs Students. The tournament will be on May 18th from 3 until 4 in the Upstairs area of the Media Center. Food and drinks will be served. Come play and check out becoming a member of next year’s Scholastic Bowl team.
  • Tickets for the Rho Kappa field trip to the African American History Museum in D.C. are now on sale to Rho Kappa seniors and juniors on a first come/first serve basis. Tickets are $20.00 and can be purchased from Mrs. Carter in the Media Center. Tickets will be on sale until they are gone. Don’t be left out.

  • Students: If you signed up for the Blood Drive, you MUST have returned your permission slip to be eligible to donate. If you need another copy, see Ms. Holthaus or Mrs. Whyte for a permission slip. Passes will be distributed 4th block today.
  • Key Club and NHS members: Make sure you check the Key Club board to see what time you signed up to volunteer for the blood drive.

Ann Ohman Warhill Volunteer of the Year

Ann Ohmann has been one of the most supportive, eager, and enthusiastic supporters of Warhill band programs and students.  She goes above and beyond and is always available to assist our students and staff in any way possible. She does absolutely everything.  For these reasons, and so much more, Ann is Warhill’s selection for Outstanding Volunteer of the Year.

Prom 2017 – Enchanted Forest

Warhill High School Prom/After Prom 2017

Prom will be held at Great Wolf Lodge Williamsburg on Saturday, June 3rd.

The After Prom will also be at Great Wolf Lodge in the water park from 11pm until 2 am.

I. Tickets

  • Tickets will be sold beginning on Monday, May 22nd, and ending on Thursday, June 1st.
  • Tickets will be sold during all three lunches.
  • NO tickets will be sold after June 1st.
  • You may pay with CHECK (to Warhill High School) or CASH
  • Ticket price will vary depending on what you will be attending:
  • Just the dance: $40 per ticket
  • Dance and After-Prom: $55 per ticket
  • ONLY After-Prom (only available if there are leftover tickets on the second week of sales-$30)
  • THERE ARE ONLY 400 TICKETS. NO MORE TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AFTER WE SELL 400.
  • You must return all missing books and pay all outstanding fees before purchasing a ticket.

2. Forms

  • Any student attending the prom must fill out and return a dance contract. If you submitted one for Homecoming, you do not need to resubmit.
  • Any outside date MUST submit a new dance contract (even if he or she attended Homecoming) and have an approved signature from their school’s administration.

3. Entering and Exiting Prom

  • Once you arrive at prom, you may not leave the building unless you are leaving for the entire evening. Students may not reenter after leaving the dance and/or After Prom.
  • Students will bring in all After Prom clothing to leave in a room at prom. You may not go out to your car between prom and After Prom.
    Ladies will change for After Prom in one room while gentlemen change in another room. We will then walk from prom to After Prom together through a pre-determined path.
  • You may not rent rooms at the Great Wolf Lodge.
