WJCC Schools is pleased to support a community initiative, WMBGkind, in highlighting acts of kindness and goodwill in our schools, neighborhoods, and workplaces. Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, the WMBGkind campaign kicks off Friday, February 1, with activities planned through mid-May. The campaign was inspired by a California mayor who challenged elementary school students to perform a million acts of kindness while he was in office. WMBGkind is hoping to see a similar outpouring of kindness here in the Historic Triangle.
We know that acts of kindness – random and organized – are happening every day in our schools and offices. We are simply asking that you use your school’s Twitter and Instagram accounts to share photos and stories of kindness from your building. Be sure to use #WeAreWJCC and #WMBGkind in your post. That will help us follow, retweet and share your good news. International Random Acts of Kindness Week is Feb. 10-16. WMBGkind campaign has also identified Feb. 18 – March 2 as Kindness through Learning Week. It would be especially nice to highlight stories from WJCC Schools during these times. To assist in that effort, please share this request with your staff and encourage their participation in this campaign.
As second semester AEP starts this week, I wanted to share AEP expectations with families. Please note: Please note: 1) Students are expected to attend their Academic Enrichment Period: Monday—Friday 7:20 am—7:50 am; 2) Students with an AEP or Breakfast pass should arrive in their permanent location by 7:25 am. For further information, please see attached WHS AEP Guidelines.
