Spring 2019 Exam Schedule

Teacher Appreciation Week

May 6 – 10 is Teacher Appreciation Week.  Celebrate the hard work and commitment of Warhill faculty and staff; thank a teacher today!

May 8th is National School Nurse Day

National School Nurse Day is always the Wednesday of National Nurses Week. National School Nurse Day honors all school nurses who care for the children in the schools every day.  School nurses promote learning through healthy children.  The theme for the 2016 National School Nurse Day is School Nurses: Better Health. Better Learning.

School nurses are often the first place a student thinks to go when they don’t feel well or have been hurt, but they provide a wealth of information that supports a successful education as well.  On National School Nurse Day, remember all the reasons the nurse is available to your school.  (National Day Calendar)

Get Involved!

Hey all you Slam Poets! It’s time for The Pride Roars Poetry Slam.

Write an original slam poem, less than 2 minutes long. No music or costumes, just your performance poem. Auditions will be Wednesday, May 8th, and the performances will be on Tuesday, May 14th. This event will be held in the Media Center. Don’t know what Slam Poetry is? Come see us for more information. Sign up in the Media Center before May 8th, and pick up an information packet in the Media Center or from your English teacher.

“Child Nutrition Employee Appreciation week was created by the School Nutrition Association to highlight the hard work cafeteria employees do all year round. School food service staff contribute significantly to the health and well-being of children by providing nutritious meals. In turn, this positively affects students’ ability to focus and learn better throughout the day.” (
