Dr. Catherine L. Worley is WJCC Schools Assistant Superintendent for School Leadership, Secondary. Dr. Worley is a veteran educator with 27 years of experience in the classroom and school administrator. She joined WJCC Schools in 2012 after serving as a principal in Albemarle County, Virginia. Prior to that, she was a teacher, assistant principal and principal with Hampton and Newport News public schools. During her time as principal of Jamestown High School, Dr. Worley was named the 2018 Outstanding High School Principal of Virginia by the Virginia Association of Secondary School Principals. Dr. Worley holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Virginia Tech, and a master’s in Educational Leadership from Old Dominion. In addition, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Therapy, both from Radford University.
